Frustrating Start

Excitement in seeing old friends and the hope of a good first tournament plagued the focus of the weary traveler.  Months of daily pratice and hard work finishing up with these great students has taken it's toll.  One could observe that it has been a good year full of painful growth that culminated with a successful year of teaching.  From the beginning, it was known to all, that this wouldn't be a cake walk. In the end we are hopeful that the development of these young minds has been sparked with the fuel of enlightenment through the encouragement and caring devotion of their teacher resulting in a taste for achievement.

This summer brings the test of discipline, focus and determination.  To put all of this in perspective, golfers are basically like the CEO's of the top 200 corporations not only in the United States but in Europe, South Africa, Australia, Indonesia and many other countries.  A golfer must be at the top of his physical strength, emotional health and training to endure.  One must attribute the combination of these traits to God given abilities as well as a continual dependance upon the one who created the Universe and has the power to affect every result.  CEO's begin their preparation with prep schools, universities and graduate schools that produce the finest education and prepare their graduates for high achievement.

Love for the game of golf begins early, education and training lasts a lifetime, and achieving the goal of becoming a winner on the tour is a result of these combined efforts as well as divine intervention.  If you observe most of the stars on the tour, they are humbled when it all comes together for them and know that they haven't accomplished their goals on their own.  Thus it is in this game of life God elevates those who acknowledge His presence when He is ready to do so.  The Bible says "Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God and He will exalt You at the proper time."  We don't know what the future holds but we know who holds the future.

In preparing for the next tournament we're preparing with a new coach and new techniques and a lot of practice.  Not sure if this is right but it seems we were pointed in this direction.  This is no longer just for fun and socialization.  It's a life focus.  It's being the best by eliminating distractions, working hard, doing our best and leaving the results to our creator.

Thanks to you all for following our efforts.  It's a wonderful opportunity for growth and hopefully enlightenment!
